Wedding Planning
The signature of your wedding lies in the details – the décor, lighting, menu, photography, and other elements. Whether you’re looking for a taste of traditional Polynesian culture or contemporary sophistication, your wedding professional will help you create a unique, personalized experience that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime.
The Details
Wedding Ceremonies
Couples can conduct a symbolic wedding or perform a vow-renewal ceremony at the resort. During the ceremony, the bride and groom will receive an exclusive wedding certificate from the resort. Made of local tree bark, the tapa is considered by Polynesians to be a symbol of wealth and was used in ancient times as a luxurious fabric. Along with the Polynesian name your officiant will give you, the presentation of a Four Seasons Bora Bora marriage certificate concludes your ceremony.
For a legal marriage in French Polynesia, couples must visit the Council House of Bora Bora on their wedding day. For details on documentation requirements, please contact the Hotel.
Photography
Capture the spirit of your wedding with photos set in idyllic surroundings. The beach of the topaz lagoon captures the essence of the island; the distant, majestic mountains make for stunning photographs. Wedding packages include the services of a photographer on the wedding site. We would be more than happy to also secure a videographer for your ceremony or enhance your photo package to meet your specific needs. An enhanced package includes a photo shoot in your Over-Water Bungalow or around the resort before and after the ceremony. All photos and videos are delivered within two business days on a CD-ROM.
Flowers
Add a tropical touch to your wedding with Tiare Tahiti, tipanier, and hibiscus flowers. These and other exotic, aromatic blooms are thoughtfully selected by our floral designer, then arranged into stunning creations. Flower crowns and leis for the bride and groom offer a charming and romantic detail to the ceremony.
Lighting and décor
Coloured lighting and tiki torches can be used in your ceremony or reception space to create a joyous and romantic ambience. For bride and groom, pareos (wraps) are available; a choice of buckle for the bride makes for elegant detailing. During the ceremony, a tifaifai quilt or traditional Polynesian decorative elements can be used to adorn the setting.
Entertainment
Wedding packages at the resort include Tahitian dancers and musicians, and we can also arrange for live music during the wedding dinner and reception. Your wedding professional can assist you in selecting music and entertainment for your celebration. For a unique Polynesian experience, local dancers and Tahitian drummers are available.
Spa and beauty
The menu of massages and body treatments draw on European, Eastern and Polynesian therapies for a truly holistic experience – whether in preparation for the wedding day or as the perfect end to a day spent exploring the island with friends and family. Newlyweds can retreat to the VIP couple's suite for private, personalised treatments. The Spa's aromatherapy steam room, outdoor vitality pool and shaded lounge deck overlooking the pandanus and kahaia forest offer convivial spaces to relax with your wedding party before the main event.
On your wedding day, enjoy the personalised service of a hairdresser in the privacy of your suite. The Resort can connect you with local professionals who are able to provide superior beauty services for your special day. View spa services
