The Palácio da Rocha do Conde d’Óbidos serves today as the headquarters of the Portuguese Red Cross (Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa). The palace was built in the 17th century for the Count of Óbidos and is one of the few stately homes in Lisbon that survived the 1755 earthquake. The building presents numerous examples of 17th-century tiles and painted ceilings, as well as a library and a chapel that can be visited during events. The expansive outside terrace provides spectacular views over the Tejo River, the 25th of April Bridge and Christ the Redeemer.
