Mobility (flexibility) training and balance are important aspects of fitness that are often under-appreciated and neglected. As we age, we lose both flexibility and balance. Improving your mobility can have significant benefits for your posture, lifting form and strength, all while reducing injuries.

One of the best ways to improve your mobility, core strength and balance is yoga. It’s important to know a little bit about each type of yoga before deciding what works best for you and your training program.

REIKI
90 minutes
Discover the famous Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that promotes healing through the concept of an unseen “life force energy.” Through a no-touch interaction with your healer, feel the glowing radiance that flows through and around you, to achieve a calming sense of relaxation and peacefulness.

 

PRENATAL YOGA
60/90 minutes
For women in their second and third trimester, this gentle yoga session enhances comfort, improves circulation and promotes relaxation.

 

ASHTHANGA YOGA
60/90 minutes
This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures to produce intense internal heat and purifying perspiration that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a stronger body and a calmer mind.

 

HATHA YOGA
60/90 minutes

Practise the 12 basic postures to strengthen and revitalize the body, combined with breathing in harmony to enhance the prana (energy) flow from the body.

 

PRANAYAMA YOGA
60/90 minutes
Control of the breath with rhythm of pranic energy with pranayama.

 

LAUGHTER YOGA
60/90 minutes
Laughter yoga is a body exercise; initially forced laughter soon becomes real and contagious. This yoga is effective for people under deep pressure or post-trauma.

 

MEDITATION
60/90 minutes
Practise of a concentrated focus upon visualization and breathing, learn how to enter a mindfulness state, reducing stress.

 

KIDS’ YOGA
30 minutes

The primary fitness skills that develop as a result of yoga are strength, flexibility and balance. Achievements can be seen in only one session, and smiles are the first step in this class.
