At Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, we are committed to preserving and regenerating the environment and leaving a positive, enduring impact on our local community. - The Resort is the Leeward Coast’s first “Blue Zones Project Approved worksite,” recognizing efforts to create a work atmosphere that inspires, encourages and promotes well-being, not only in the workplace but also in the communities in which employees live
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use
- Linens and towels replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested
- Energy-saving guest room controls
- Water-efficient landscaping
- Property-wide LED lighting
- Central plant energy optimization in place
- Recycling program in place
- Elimination of single-use plastics, including water bottles, straws and bathroom amenities
- Organic waste diversion program in place
- Used cooking oil collected by a local partner and converted into biodiesel off-site
- Work with vendors to minimize product packaging
- Local, sustainable and seasonal menu items available
- Cage-free eggs
- Food waste reduction program in place
- Food waste diverted from landfill and donated to local farmers for use as pig feed
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including employee-led tree planting with Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods
- Integrated pest management implemented in landscaping practices, prioritizing biological controls over the use of chemicals
- Guests can engage in educational tours at local, natural, cultural, historical or heritage sites to learn more about the local community, including embarking on a spiritual journey to Ka’ena Point, immersing themselves in on-site artisan guided workshops, hikes to several spots throughout the island or visiting landmarks such as Pearl Harbor, Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace and the Honolulu Museum of Art
- Local artists and artisans featured throughout the Resort as part of the #FSWayfinders program, including Lauhala weavers, resin painters, hula performers and live musicians
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training
- Employees volunteer in the local community through community outreach, Hawaii Lodging and Tourism Association (HLTA) Visitor Industry Charity Walk and Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii
- Partner with Ko Olina Resorts and Hawaii Food Bank to deliver over 1,000 dinners to families in need during Thanksgiving
- Eco-certified cleaning products used
- On-property boutique featuring local products
