GUEST ROOMS
- Opt in-or-out of our “fresh linens and towels on the third-day” programme
- In-room laundry bags are made of linen or recycled plastic
- Linens and terry, and lightly used soaps and shampoos are donated to Martha’s Table or KEYS for the Homeless Foundation
- Recycling bins in every guest room
- Virginia Linen is our select off-site laundry partner as they use 64% less water, 73% less energy and 90% fewer chemicals compared to on-site laundry
- Our Hotel is a founding member of and endorsed by the Laundry Environmental Stewardship Program (LaundryESP®)
FOOD & BEVERAGE
- Bottled water in reusable glass, available throughout the Hotel
- Recycled paper products include notepads, straws, biodegradable to-go containers, cutlery
- On-site ORCA machine “digests” 2,400 lbs (1,089 kg) of food waste per day
- “Linen-less tables” are the standard in restaurants and meeting rooms
- Sourcing humanely raised protein from select purveyors
- Endangered species banned from all menus
- Unused, unopened oysters are re-harvested, empty shells returned to vendor for recycling
- Sourcing coffee grown in an environmentally-friendly, ethical and sustainable manner
- Bulk purchasing soft drinks, juices and fruit purées in concentrate form, reducing spoilage and waste
ENERGY CONSERVATION
- Lap pool uses salt technology, which is friendlier to environment, skin, hair and fabric
- LED lighting throughout the Hotel
- Light motion sensors throughout offices, public and staff spaces, including the four-level parking garage on-premises
- Our Hotel is Clean Green Certified by TRSA for demonstrating responsible leadership in sustainability and conservation in linen, uniform and facility services
- Energy efficient machinery in cooling towers, laundry and hotel boilers, water tanks
- Building Automation System (BAS) reduces energy consumption throughout the Hotel with zoned and programmed temperature control
- Floor zoning during times of lower demand, permitting closure of individual floors to conserve energy

- Preference given to suppliers whose values of sustainability are compatible with our own
- Encouraging minimal packaging from purveyors
- Ecolab green cleaning products purchased in bulk
- Spa toiletries purchased in bulk
